Which should you choose?

If you can book one or two lessons a week, a tutor on italki or Preply is the best value: try three tutors with trial lessons and keep the one who makes you talk the most. Compare the two in italki vs Preply.

If you want to speak every day for a fixed price, BaseLang's unlimited plan suits you; it only teaches Spanish.

If you need a timetable and a curriculum, Lingoda's group classes keep you honest. If money is tight, a free exchange works once you can hold a basic conversation.

Which accent should your tutor have?

The one you will use. Most tutor sites let you filter by country, so pick Mexico or Colombia for Latin America, Spain for Spain, and change later if you like. Neutral Latin American Spanish is understood everywhere.

How we rank

We rank apps by who they genuinely suit, what they cost, and how much they help with the skill learners neglect most: understanding real spoken Spanish. Every price and fact was checked on the product's own site or app store listing on the date shown; where a price is not published we say so and what is free. Nobody pays to be listed or ranked, and there are no affiliate links. More about this site.
