About News in Slow Spanish
News in Slow Spanish turns the week's news into slowed-down Spanish audio with the text alongside, plus grammar and expressions lessons built on the same stories. It comes in two editions, Spain and Latino, at three levels: Beginner (A1 to A2), Intermediate (B1 to B2) and Advanced (C1 and up). On 10 October 2026 Full Access was $22.90 a month for one edition or $25.90 for both, and Audio Only $6.90 or $7.90, after a 7-day free trial. It suits a learner who likes current affairs and wants audio they can follow with the transcript. The speech is slowed, so add natural-speed listening as you improve.

How it works
Each week brings short news stories read slowly, with the transcript, a translation of hard words and lessons on the grammar and expressions inside them. The slow pace lets you hear every word; as you improve, you move up a level and the speed rises.
It is one of the few Spanish services that lets you choose between Spain and Latin American Spanish throughout.
Who it suits
Learners who want to follow the news, from beginner to advanced. If you would rather learn from conversation than news, see Spanish podcasts and Spanish listening practice; other sites are in Spanish learning websites.
