About Language Transfer: Complete Spanish
Language Transfer's Complete Spanish is a free audio course of 90 tracks, taught through English: you listen to a teacher guide a student through building Spanish sentences, and you pause to answer before the student does. It is Language Transfer's flagship course, funded by donations, with no adverts or sign-up, and it plays in the Language Transfer app, on SoundCloud or on YouTube. It suits a beginner who wants to understand how Spanish works instead of memorising lists. It does not give you reading practice or native speakers at real speed, and the CEFR range is our reading.
Quick answers
| Is it really free? | Yes: all 90 tracks, funded by donations (checked 10 October 2026). |

| How does it work? | A teacher and a student build sentences out loud; you pause and answer first. Thinking, not memorising. |

| What to add | Native Spanish at real speed from Spanish listening practice, and vocabulary with Anki. |
Why learners rate it
Complete Spanish explains the patterns that connect English and Spanish, so you build sentences you were never taught. After a few tracks most people are surprised by what they can already say.
It is also the cheapest serious course there is. Pair it with Duolingo Spanish for daily vocabulary and you have a free beginner plan; more in free Spanish learning apps.
Language Transfer or Pimsleur?
Both are audio and make you speak. Language Transfer explains why; Pimsleur Spanish drills through repetition with native speakers and costs a subscription. Many learners do Language Transfer first. See all audio courses in best online Spanish courses.
