About Pod101
Pod101 is Innovative Language's family of sites, one per language (FrenchPod101, SpanishPod101, JapanesePod101 and more than 40 others), each a large library of short audio and video lessons, 3 to 15 minutes long, taught by real teachers and arranged in pathways from absolute beginner to advanced, with lesson notes, transcripts and regular assessments. A free lifetime account opens the first lessons of every pathway, new lessons each week and vocabulary lists; paid plans are Basic, Premium and Premium PLUS, which adds one-to-one access to a teacher. Prices are per language site and lean on long plans and discounts: on FrenchPod101 the 24-month Basic plan was $2.20 a month on sale. It suits a beginner who likes short, structured lessons explained in English. It does not give you long stretches of natural conversation between native speakers.
